2016 Events Line-up

Welcome!

We’re so glad you have earned your ticket and

will be joining us at WE Day Kentucky 2016!

Here is what to expect on April 21st:

  • 8:00 – The doors to the Kentucky Center for the Performing Arts and the WE Day Kentucky Fan Zone will open.  You will be able to shop, tweet, take selfies, box with your friends, listen to awesome music, hang out with giant puppets and watch circus performers perform amazing feats right in front of your eyes!
  • 9:30-12:15 – WE Day Kentucky programs will take place in Whitney Hall. If you thought the Fan Zone was great, wait for the show!
  • 12:15-12:45 – You’ll pick up your healthy, delicious lunch and join your friends to eat, talk, listen to the music being spun by Matt Anthony of WFPK and get ready to WALK FOR COMPASSION!
  • 12:45 – We will meet in front of the Kentucky Center for the kickoff to our inaugural, student-organized WE Walk for Compassion! And bring a jacket or poncho (NO umbrellas, please) because we will march RAIN OR SHINE!  River City Drummers will send us off on our walk!
  • 12:45-1:30 – Get out your sign showing what you are walking for! Is it helping the homeless?  Preventing bullying? Bringing fresh water to communities without access? Feeding the hungry?  Show everyone how you have turned your compassion into action and earned your ticket to WE Day!
  • 1:30 – When you return to the Kentucky Center your bus will be waiting to take you home.  Make sure you know which one is yours!

We hope you will be returning to school energized, inspired and feeling truly celebrated for the great service you did to earn your ticket to WE Day!  And we hope you will already start planning your next projects to earn your ticket to WE Day Kentucky 2017!
