2018 WE Day Community: Kentucky Schedule

Dear WE Day Kentucky Friends, it’s hard to believe that once again, spring break and WE Day Community Kentucky are right around the corner!!

We have some exciting new surprises awaiting students and educators this year, including a returning crowd favorite, Hanna Alper! Stay tuned for an April 1st announcement of the WE Day Community: Kentucky lineup!!

 

Here is a Sneak Peek:

New this year, we will be using Facebook Live to stream portions of the day from the time buses arrive until the Compassion Walk ends.  Be on the lookout for our dynamic team of WE Day broadcasters as you enjoy the day!  And we will have a live pre-show in Whitney Hall for your seating entertainment!

The FanZone will be alive with sounds of local music, as well as original music being recorded ON LOCATION in the A.M.P.E.D. Mobile Recording Studio!! You do not want to miss this!  WE Schools staff and resources will be available in the Educators Zone.  Many other local, regional and even some national non-profits will be present, so come prepared to explore the FanZone, visit the Community Corner and learn about new ways you can get involved in local and global projects!  Remember, if you forgot to make a poster for the compassion walk, you can make one in the North Lobby on the day of the event.  Also, don’t forget your personal care items for the Call To Action!  Our goal is to collect 100,000 items this year, to help students in need go to school with confidence!

 

Schedule:  In response to popular demand, we will open the doors to the FanZone earlier this year at 8:15!!  So how does the day look?

8:15 – Doors to the Kentucky Center and FanZone

9:15 – Doors open to Whitney Hall, pre-show begins

9:45 – Doors close to Whitney Hall and the WE Day Community: Kentucky program begins

12:00 – Program ends, lunch is available outside Whitney Hall

12:45 – WE Walk for Compassion begins on the steps of the Kentucky Center

1:30 – All buses depart the Kentucky Center to return to school – Thank you for coming and see you next year!!!
